Wendy with Crispin Studios has been doing business with us since 2020. She first started out teaching sewing classes when we had our brick and mortar. Now she sells her beautiful finished quilts and wall hangings with us on our website!
Here is how Wendy got started in quilting...
I haven't always been a longarm quilter. In fact, for most of my life, my careers were based on my mechanical engineering degree! I fell in love with quilting when I found it was a great way to decompress from stressful work environments and have a creative hobby. Little did I know though that my engineering background would lead perfectly into longarm quilting. Creating designs in the computerized sewing machine is a breeze plus I get to use my creative side to create a beautiful work of art for you.
I have been creating quilts from my home or by renting space in another studio since 2002. Always a learner, I took longarm technique courses in Hershey, Pennsylvania at Quilt Odyssey and at Heartbeat Quilting in Spokane Valley, Washington. I also take monthly online courses to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and programs.
In 2022 I was able to move into my very own storefront in Post Falls, Idaho where I house two longarm sewing machines, sells sewing supplies, and meet wonderful customers who bring in beautiful quilt tops to finish.
